Verrutop - a painless procedure for the treatment of stubborn verrucae and warts using Nitric acid that is highly effective in just a few applications
Service Details
Verrutop is a new type of wart treatment. Unlike Cryotherapy or other chemical treatments, Verrutop does not act by freezing or burning the tissue.
Instead, it denatures the viral protein and desiccates the wart tissue, which then falls off the skin, leaving intact skin underneath.
Treatment is normally quick and painless.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT

Your practitioner will take a full medical, medication & lifestyle history if you have never visited the clinic before, or review it if you have. All your information is taken in a private room and stored on our secure database for your privacy & security.

Before any treatment, your practitioner will undertake a visual and sometimes physical examination to assess the cause of your condition and the treatment plan they will follow to achieve the best outcome.

Once you and our practitioner are happy with the treatment plan, you will be treated in a clean environment, with sterile instruments (if needed) together with the latest technology so we can provide the highest standard of care in-line with evidenced based medicine.
We aim to provide professional, affordable foot care at all times. Our treatment fees therefore reflect the high standard of care we provide. CLICK HERE to view our fees for this service.
The number of treatments can vary depending on the size, number, and location of the verrucae /warts, as well as how your body responds to the treatment. On average, most patients require between 3 to 6 treatments, spaced a few weeks apart. Your podiatrist will assess your progress at each visit and tailor the treatment plan to your needs.
Most people can safely receive Verrutop treatment, including adults and older children. However, it may not be suitable for very young children, individuals with certain skin conditions, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Your podiatrist will carry out an assessment to ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate for you.
